My name is Liam, and I was an FBI agent, until I stepped into the world of Rylee Adamson. Now, I’m a Guardian, a wolf shifter whose very design is to protect those around him at any cost.
The battle against Orion is done, the demons banished. In their wake, there are so many innocents who have lost their lives, their families, and their way.
Three of them our now ours to raise—the ogre triplets. Three boys I’ve come to love as if they were my own. And they are dying.
In a race against time, I must do the impossible. Find a female ogre willing to help us save the boys. A female from a species we had believed was wiped out.
There is one reclusive tribe left—but they aren’t sharing anything but death.
If I am to save my boys, I must face them down; and this time I must look inside myself and find a strength I did not know was possible, without Rylee at my side. If I fail, I fail not only my boys.
I may fail the world.

LIAM The Rylee Adamson Epilogues Book 2 eBook Shannon Mayer Reviews
Wow. Just wow. Liam started out the Rylee Adamson series as a background player, and has steadily moved into one of the two leading roles. He still has a lot of confusion about his identity as a the world's guardian wolf, but no hesitation about identifying who is in his pack, including three orphaned triplet ogres he and Rylee adopted. When the triplets become ill, he literally moves heaven and earth to get them the help they need by taking on an extremely vicious ogre pack. I also liked the new guardian he found, but not his attitude. Shannon Mayer seems to describe dog/wolf behavior better than cat/lion ones, but as a cat person, I always prefer them stronger than the dogs. Hopefully we will see more of Lion in other books with a better attitude.
The world of Rylee and Company continues onward as character development continues.... The Epilogue series promises many stories yet to come before the entire arc created in the Rylee Adamson series is closed.... This is a strategy employed by the best authors in that the world you created and know so well flows continually onward and outward via the sum of all the characters and this world should be no different.... So, at this point the central characters have once again been defined and their paths forward are projected.... Another ensemble of supporting characters strong in their own rights is developing and what unfolds from here should be as gripping and action packed as all other tales featuring Rylee and her band of heroes... Summing up without giving any away, the threads are different but somewhat better, the intensity is the same, the books draw you in and hold you enthralled as always, waiting to see what will happen next.... Excellent work!!! Well worth the time invested in the reading... Enjoy!!!
It was first a bit weird to read this book from Liam’s perspective, especially after so many books with Rylee in the driving seat. I presume it was more a case of how I saw Liam through Rylee’s eyes, as this strong silent type and now you are in his head with all his insecurities and internal dialogue. But after a few chapters the compelling plot twists, the very eventful and challenging journey and detailed documented fight scenes had me hooked again. The story, as the others, was fast, action packed with lots of fatal or near fatal injuries – never a dull moment nor an expected outcome for any situation.
Above all odds, the loose ends were neatly pulled together. A good and satisfying story from a brilliant writer who delivers time and again without failure. I’m glad the story continues in these epilogues!
As usual, this authors books don't disappoint. I read "Rylee" again before reading this book and I'm glad I did. Not only did I seriously need a Rylee fix (She is one or my all time favorite characters, with her snarky take no s**t badassery), it helped the context of this book. It was nice to read about Liam and his pack. The new characters are good additions. I won't spoil the book. It's a quick read and I enjoyed all of it. Lots of intense adventure and drama. A couple of characters from the Elemental series are mentioned or pop in. I love both series and I'm taking the advise to read these epilogues before reading the last book in the Elemental series.
Liam has come so far over the course of the Rylee Adamson series and having a book finally from his POV was everything I'd hoped it would be and then some. Liam has to find his way without Rylee and those who've been by his side from practically the beginning... Pam, Alex, Eve, etc. All he has is a scared young boy who reminds his of Alex along for the ride... through the course of the novel they both find strength in themselves they didn't know possible while trying to save the ogre babies... I read it in one sitting and couldn't put it down. I'm so glad the Rylee series isn't completely over and the ending will leave you staring at your ereader with your mouth wide open and chomping at the bit for the next installment!
